An induction program, ‘Prarambh’18’, Day-1

‘Prarambh’18’, the induction program for 2018 batch kick started on 13th August,2018 at SDIET campus on a high note by welcome of the students by Mr. Gaurav Mahendru and Dr. N.J. Dembi, Dean Academics, SDIET along with sharing the plan for next 7 days and a video was shown on Prarambh’18 to energize the students. The first session for one group was conducted by Ms. Sonia Singh on Universal Human Values – ‘Importance of Respect and Culture’ while the other group showed their creativity in painting, singing and Dance.

An induction program, ‘Prarambh’18', Day-2

Second day of ‘Prarambh’18’ started at SDIET campus with a session on Universal Human Values for group one by Ms. Fatima. It was a high energy and power packed session on values shared through personal experiences and videos. The other group had their creative arts session, where the students continued from where they had left yesterday. The session half sessions were again taken by Ms. Shruti for the other group on ‘What is my Story’, while Mr. Abhishek engaged the first group on ‘Sustainability and Our Role to Sustain the Environment.’

An induction program, ‘Prarambh’18’, Day-3

Prarambh’18- third day started with Group 1 visiting an Old Age Home (Janak Sewa Samiti, Sector 19, Faridabad), where the students got an opportunity to interact with elderly people staying there and also understood the values of taking care of elderly people and our role. The Group 2 refined their skills in Creative Art (painting, dance & singing). Mr. Gaurav Mahendru also took a communication activity with Group 1 post their visit to Old Age Home. The post lunch session was fully devoted to sports, where students formed teams/ groups to play Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball and Kho Kho.

‘Prarambh’18’, Day-4

Fourth day of Prarambh’18 started with a fitness boot camp by Ms. Garima Malik, who is a celebrity trainer and brand ambassador of Nike brand.Dr. Shreesh Bhardwaj ji (Advisor, SDIET & Director Principal, Satyug Darshan Vidyalaya) on ‘Important Life Skills’. Shreesh ji enlightened the students on the relevant life skills with practical examples. Shaleen Anand Taneja, Member, BoG, SDIET, instigate the values related to Humanity followed by an Olympiad in Humanity Development.

‘Prarambh’18’, Day-5

Fifth day of Prarambh’ 18 started with the BBA group visiting the Old Age Home (Janak Sewa Samiti, Sector 19, Faridabad) while B.Tech group enhanced their creative Art (dancing, painting & singing) skills. Post the Old Age Home Visit, Mr. Gaurav Mahendru took an activity session on communication skills. Post lunch session was conducted by Mr. Paramjit Singh Ahuja on Management Activities wherein the expectation as a Manager was showcased through activities.

Grand Finale, ‘Prarambh’18’

21st August 2018,the last day of Prarambh’18 started with groups visiting Dhyan Kaksh followed by session of Mr. Ashish Sinha from Hiring Street on the expectation and requirements of a bright career. Post lunch was the finale of Prarambh’18, which had performances from students including dancing, singing, poem recitation and debates. Mr. Gaurav Mahendru presented recap of entire induction programme through a video. The finale ended with address by Respected Sh. Sajan ji, Mentor, Satyug Darshan Trust (Regd.) followed by vote of thanks from Director, SDIET.

Orientation day 2018

‘Fresher’s Orientation 2018’ was organized on 10th August, 2018 for B.Tech & BBA freshers. To mark the beginning of the new session, the function began with pious ceremony of Havan. Organizing such activities like havan at the campus enables the institute to imbibe sanskars and spirituality in the daily lives of the students along with professional skills. Most respected Sajan Ji, the Chief Mentor of the Trust blessed the students and gave his best wishes to the students.

The 'Management Blast' was organised by SAMARTH CLUB of SDIET on 20th January 2018. The aim of this event was to stimulate the creativity, confidence, communication skills, intellectual ability of the students. Students participated with great enthusiasm and showed their talent through the activities.

Literary Club of SDIET was inaugurated on 16th Feb., 2018 by Mr. Indeevar Kapoor, General Manager, Indication Instruments Ltd and Mr. Yamnish Nagpal, Asst. Vice President, IndusInd Bank. The Literary Club aims at fostering a love for books among students, and promoting literary activities in the Institute.
